Chelsea vs Manchester City Predictions, Betting Tips and Match Previews

Resultado de imagem para CHELSEA VS CITY

Chelsea pulled one out of the bag in midweek as they visited Champions League specialists Atletico Madrid, with many fans fully expecting them to drop at least two points against the Spaniards. Michy Batshuayi scored a hero’s goal in the 94th minute to win the match 2-1 though, with Chelsea becoming the first English club to ever beat Atletico Madrid away from home in Europe.
This followed on from their thrashing of Stoke last weekend, a game which saw Alvaro Morata score a hat-trick, to take his tally to seven goals in seven appearances for his new club, six of which have come in the Premier League. Backing him to find the net on Saturday looks a good choice at 5/4, as he looks to fill Diego Costa’s boots.
Manchester City will miss their star striker Sergio Aguero. The Argentine maestro netted against Crystal Palace last week to make it six goals in the league for him. But after Thursday night’s events,  Gabriel Jesus will most likely take his place up front in the Starting XI.
It goes without saying that we’re not expecting any clean sheets here, and it’s easy to see why. Manchester City beat Shakhtar Donetsk in midweek to make it seven wins on the bounce for them in all competitions, and nine games into the competitive season they are yet to fail to score.
In the Premier League they have scored a huge 21 goals in just six games, but have conceded in two of their four away days. Chelsea’s defence is a lot stronger than the teams The Citizens have faced so far, but the fact they have conceded in five of their nine competitive matches shows they are far from untouchable.
However, Chelsea have only failed to score once as well and have scored an average of 2.78 goals per game in all competitions this season. At home that average rises to 3.75 goals per game, so backing Both Teams to Score at 4/7 looks hugely valuable given both teams’ attacking ability.
In the end we expect the home advantage to come into play. Manchester City may have been devastating at times this season, but away from home they have struggled slighly against Brighton, Bournemouth, and West Brom. Backing a 2-1 win for the hosts looks good value at 10/1.
